FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
At this time we do not accept insurance, though some providers offer sliding scale or flat rate fees. All clinicians are able to provide a superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement if your policy covers out-of-network behavioral health care.
Do you offer a free consultation?
All new client consultations are free of charge. We want to ensure that you get matched with the provider who best meets your need. Most consultations take about twenty minutes.
How does the sliding scale work?
Our provisionally licensed therapists and therapists-in-training offer affordable sliding-scale fees based on your income (annual income must be under $100,000/year). During your consultation, provide an estimate of your annual income and we will give you a quote.
For associate-licensed therapists, session fees range from $70-$130. Therapist-in-training rates are around $35-$70, depending on your income. See below for information about discounted membership options that further reduce these fees.
Your therapist will provide you with an exact figure prior to booking. When you complete your new client paperwork, upload proof of income to lock in your rate.
What is a provisionally-licensed therapist?
Provisionally licensed (also known as associate-licensed) therapists hold a Masters in Social Work, Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Masters in Counseling, or Masters in Psychology. They are licensed to practice therapy in Georgia and are under direction and supervision of a fully-licensed therapist who they consult with regularly.
Provisionally-licensed therapists are required to see clients in this way for a certain number of hours (usually around 3,000 hours in no less than 3 years) prior to becoming fully licensed to practice therapy in Georgia.
We accept curriculum vitae year-round from associate-licensed therapists who wish to apply.
What are therapists-in-training?
Therapists-in-training are graduate students currently attending a fully accredited university. We accept therapists-in-training who are in their final year of a Masters in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy program.
As part of their education and training, these students required to enroll in an internship class that involves counseling individuals and groups in order to practice the skills they are learning. Their work is supervised by their university supervisor and site supervisor.
Counseling sessions with you help them meet the requirements for this class, which ends when they graduate. Upon graduation, therapists-in-training apply for their license and become promoted to provisionally licensed therapists. Apply for an internship.
Do you work with children?
We currently serve children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
